Happy Thanksgiving! Seek Lavender has a fun approach to turkey roasting. It’s all in the brine – tender and delightful. You will need a 5 gallon bucket and a 5 gallon food grade bucket liner bag.
In large pot, combine and boil until salt is dissolved:
½ gallon of low sodium vegetable broth
½ gallon of apple juice
¾ cup of sea salt
1 T of dried Seek Lavender Rosemary
1 T dried Seek Lavender Sage
1T dried Seek Lavender Savory
1 T dried ground Seek Lavender
10 black Peppercorns
3 sliced garlic cloves
2 bay leaves
Let cool to room temp.
Put turkey and brine in 5 gallon bucket with a 5 gallon food grade bucket liner bag.
Let soak, refrigerated, for at least 24 hours.
